The Coach House is 2 miles from Wells and a great place from which to explore Bath or Bristol, for their shopping, entertainment and culture. Visit unique Glastonbury with its Tor or quirky Frome with its great independent market (on the first Sunday of the month, March - December).

 

Dinder nestles on the southern slopes of the Mendip Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is one of England's most special places. A great place to relax or take in the scenery with a plethora of walks or cycle rides.  For those keen on golf there are two Golf courses within 3 miles of the Coach House. An award winning pub and community supported shop are both witin walking distance, what could be better?

 

The Coach House is perfectly located for bird watching/wildlife holidays as it sits close to a number of nature reserves and the Mendip AONB.
There is sailing available on both Chew Valley Lake (20mins) and Cheddar Reservoir (15mins). Both the Somerset Levels and the quiet rolling landscape of the Mendips  offer perfect walking and cycling country with many great pubs for lunchtime relaxation.

 

Stourhead National Trust is only16 miles away. There are a number of other National Trust properties, all within easy reach including Tyntensfield and Montacute House.

If you love eating out then you won't be disappointed by the superb variety of restaurants and gourmet pubs in Wells and the surrounding area.  

 

Every October, Wells plays host to both an impressive Literary Festival as well as a 'tasty' food festival.  

 

England's version of Mardi Gras, the Somerset Light Carnival passes through nearby Shepton Mallet, Wells and Frome during October and November, it is amazing and not to be missed.

 

The are numerous art and Craft Galleries with the recent addition of the new Hauser and Wirth art Gallery in Bruton.

We are in a great location for parents visiting 'boarders' at the following schools: Millfield Prep (15 mins), Millfield (20 mins), Downside School (15 mins), Wells Cathedral School (5 mins), All Hallows Prep (15 mins). 

 

The following local attractions are also nearby: Bath & West Showground, Wookey Hole Caves, Glastonbury Festival Site, Kilver Court Designer Village and the Mulberry Factory Shop. Bath and Bristol are both a 45 minute drive away.
